The third book in the USA Today bestselling Carly Moore series by Denise Grover Swank. The dead can’t speak After months of living in the Smoky Mountains town of Drum, Tennessee, Carly knows firsthand the financial hardship the citizens face. Still, she can’t muster the same excitement as everyone else when town patriarch Bart Drummond breaks ground on his new resort that promises more jobs and money. But the project comes to a screeching halt when the construction crew unearths a grisly discovery—an unmarked grave. The discovery threatens Carly’s ex-boyfriend, when the authorities learn the body belongs to his old girlfriend who had supposedly left town…and Wyatt is suspect number one. Carly’s sure Wyatt’s innocent, even if the rest of the town, and more importantly, the sheriff’s department, is ready to lock him up. Carly has moved on from Wyatt, but now he’s asking for her help to clear his name. In exchange, he’ll tell her what he knows about his father. Information that will help her bring Bart down. But danger lurks around every corner, and as Carly puts her life on the line to help the man who betrayed her, she begins to question everything and everyone around her…especially Wyatt Drummond.

The study of planetary or solar magnetic fields explains natural magnetism as a phenomenon of magnetohydrodynamics. The kinematic dynamo theory, especially the fast dynamo treated in this volume, is somewhat simpler but still it presents formidable analytical problems related to chaotic dynamics, for example. This remarkable book presents the status of the theory, including techniques of numerical simulations and modelling, along with a summary of results to date. The first three chapters introduce the problem and present examples of fast dynamo action in flows and maps. The remaining nine chapters deal with various analytical approaches and model systems. The book addresses astronomers and geophysicists, researchers and students alike.

This series combines all my favorites. Written in an attention grabbing mode that sucks me into this world, it keeps me reading all night until I finish it. ★★★★★ I promised (promised!) myself that I'd have some proper time management and not binge read these. Silly me. It's 6am and I just finished Book 5 after a zombie-like (in more ways than one as I definitely feel zombie-ish now) pursuit of more and more pages. These books were just too freakin' wonderful and dangerously addictive to put down.

Security guard George Tosca isn’t the only one at Flycatchers who has met his maker a bit too abruptly. There have been other suspicious deaths in the last three years, including those of military man Sir Archibald Gunter and Bertie Foster-Banks, an inveterate gambler and shareholder in the home. The arrival of a woman in black sets off a sinister chain of events, and before he knows it, Pibble is on the case. As he travels down a twisting path of blackmail and escalating violence, Pibble finds that his life is suddenly filled with purpose again. He will bring a cunning killer to justice—or die trying. But the real reason he went up to the tower on that stormy winter night is linked to a secret he’ll carry to his grave. UNFORTUNATELY, THEY BELIEVE IN HIM... Christopher Csejthe doesn't believe in vampires. Not until he becomes one. He doesn't believe in witches or werewolves, either. Not until they make him an offer he can't refuse.... Flight of the Living Dead A scream sliced the night air¾an animal sound as far removed from a human voice as the previous scream of tortured metal. It was a sound that went on and on as we hurried toward the RV. Mooncloud yanked the passenger door open and then ran around to the driver's side as I climbed up onto the bench seat. As she slid behind the wheel the other woman leapt from the building's rear doorway, sailing over the stairs and landing on the ground below. As she crouched on the asphalt, there was a shattering roar that canceled out the screaming. A ball of flame rolled out from the doorway like an orange party favor, licking the air just a few feet above her head. Mooncloud threw the van in gear and brought it skidding around as the blaze snapped back through the opening. Before I could reach for the door handle the woman was springing through the open window to land across my lap. "Go!" she shouted, but Mooncloud was already whipping the vehicle in a tight turn and accelerating toward the parking lot's north exit. The speed bump smacked my head against the roof of the cab and, by the time my vision cleared, we were driving more sedately down a side street, the woman with the crossbow sitting between me and the passenger door. In the rear-view mirror a pillar of flame was climbing from the roof of the old dormitory that housed the radio station. I shook my head to clear away the last of the planetarium show and gripped the dashboard. "Will somebody please tell me what's going on?" "It's very simple, Mr. Csejthe," Dr. Mooncloud said, pressing a button that locked the cab doors. "You are a dead man." One Foot in the Grave the Other Groping for Life

Forty Lessons to Help Christians Save Our Own Souls and the Soul of Our World Millions of people, Christians included, are "raging and rebelling," caused mainly by feelings of purposelessness and hopelessness. Presently, many public injustices give excuses, even permission, for "venting" these feelings in public disobedience, unlawful protests, destructive rioting. Past and present history is often erroneously blamed for all the deep anger, anxiety, fear, and hatred. Ignorance of God as Creator and his purpose for the creation of each of us is totally unknown to the masses, or this knowledge has been lost or neglected. Our culture's conscience has been darkened by Christians' abuses, disobedience of God's laws and Jesus's teachings, neglect and abandonment of our vocations. The devil and his world have taken advantage of these lapses in Christians' failures in obedience. The devil and the world have been increasingly active and successful in entrapping Christians in the world's pleasures, values, and morals. Christians cannot be silent and passive any longer. Jesus needs each one of us to help prevent our total sliding into the grave of chaos, indifference, irrelevance. And soon, without the intervention of God, sought by our actions, we will experience the destruction of our Christian civilization. God calls us. He expects us to answer the call; then he will help, but only when we begin and continue to work in earnest. The book's lessons teach or reteach the game plan that God has given us, a game plan for peace and joy for us individually and for our world. Many of us wring our hands in defeat, as we survey the decay of our Christian society. We too easily believe and proclaim, "Who am I? What can I possibly do to help turn the culture around?" We forget the little church of the early Christians, who converted the mighty Roman Empire, one little person at a time. No more excuses. God is calling me and you to start today! Key Features God's plan is revealed in simple, clear language, emphasized in each lesson. Topics not new but important and eternal are easy to understand. Questions and suggested resolutions are useful guides. The Scriptures given for readings help the study of the teachings and the Bible.

I was born in July of 1925. During my growing up days a popular expression for some one who looked like they had been very sick was, You look like you have one foot in the grave! Of course this was a metaphor back then. It wasnt until after World War II that it became a reality for me. I had not heard this expression for some time. Then in the spring of 1945 I arrived on the amputee ward at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. I had lost my right leg above the knee due to wounds received during the defense of Bastogne, Belgium during the later stages of WW II. On my first experience of the doctors morning rounds to check out his patients, I heard this at the first bed the doctor stopped at. He asked, How are you feeling? The patient answered, Not too bad considering I have one foot in the grave! This had become the standard reply by the patients on Ward 10-A. When the doctor and his assistants stopped in front of my bed, I stuck with tradition and answered, Not bad considering I have one foot in the grave! Now the expression had a double meaning for me and my fellow amputee patients at the hospital.

The permanent injury to Chris, the donor, and the near death of Joe, the recipient, brings this family to the depths of despair and near suicide. Through a miracle of God they were given a copy of the surgery and made the shocking discovery of how these so called "world class surgeons" performed this surgery, and then tried to cover it up. As Joe and Chris suffer and their health declines, the family desperately searches through the medical cover up to save their lives. Only their faith and perservance help them to ultimately triumph.
